Our Founder has been volunteering her whole life. Although British, she ethnically the child of two colonised countries and believes impacting society positively, where you can, is paramount.

At No Common Scents, our mission is to reimagine luxury through sustainability, impact, and intention. We craft ethical, refillable home fragrances that honour both people and planet: we are vegan coconut soy, no animal testing, 100% plastic-free products, locally made in the UAE, and rooted in conscious consumerism.
From mental wellness advocacy to responsible sourcing, every scent we create is a quiet act of rebellion against waste and a bold expression of values-driven beauty. We exist to prove that sustainability isn't a trend, it's about investing in the Earth and humanity.

We’ve partnered with Hakini, a mental health organisation providing vital support and psychological first aid to those on the ground in Gaza and across Palestine. We donate 20% of the retail price of every Soteria product to fund their incredible work.
For those who think 1 person cannot make a difference, here is testimony, direct from a Hakini user:
During the last 12 months , Hakini has delivered 165 individual therapy sessions, totaling 7,425 minutes of psychological care to 40 beneficiaries from Gaza, with an average of 4 sessions per individual beneficiary.
As the demand for individual sessions increases and based on our plan and your support we expect to provide 500 one-on-one free sessions by the end of this year. Our focus on providing individual therapy sessions is an extension to previous collective mental health and psychological support, offered through support groups and workshops from the north to the south of Gaza supporting more than 5,300 individuals in 2024.
Our individual one-on-one sessions is led by qualified mental health professionals from Palestine and across the MENA region, and delivered through our secure mobile app and by phone. Whether through video, audio, or text-based support, we continue to adapt our services to the realities on the ground: fluctuating internet, displacement, and ongoing instability.
The feedback is clear and consistent, people are engaging deeply with the support and asking to continue. Not because the sessions fall short, but because they work.

“After my husband was killed, I went into depression. A friend referred me to Hakini. The sessions gave me a lifeline. I’m ready to keep going, can we continue?”
Another beneficiary said:
“I finished my sessions today. Can I extend them? I still need this support.”
Our goal as we grow is to increase who we help, starting with grassroots organisations here in the UAE and Congo next.
