I started No Common Scents because I wanted to create beautiful, luxury home fragrances that don’t come at the cost of our planet, people, or animals. In the UAE, where this brand was born, I’ve seen firsthand how business can drive positive change. That’s why we’re committed to doing better – for the environment, for communities, and for those who need it most.
we proudly support Palestine
The crisis in Palestine has touched so many hearts, and it’s deeply personal to us. We’ve partnered with Hakini, a mental health organisation providing vital support and psychological first aid to those on the ground in Gaza and across Palestine. We proudly donate 20% of the retail price of every Soteria product to fund their incredible work.
Responsible Sourcing
We work closely with heritage fragrance houses – including some with over 84 years of experience – and carefully vet every ingredient for quality, safety, and sustainability. Our commitment to ethical sourcing ensures that every scent tells a story of care, responsibility, and respect for people and the planet.
Sustainable Packaging
Our packaging choices are intentional. We useFSC-certified paperfrom responsibly managed forests, ensuring minimal environmental impact. Every box, wrap, and sleeve is designed with both style and sustainability in mind. Plus, our reusable packaging options andbiodegradable refill poucheshelp reduce waste.

Empowering women is part of our DNA. Where possible, we work withfemale-founded and owned businesses– from our brand consultancy to our manufacturing partners. Supporting women and children in the UAE means creating opportunities, amplifying voices, and celebrating local talent.

Our candles are made with non-toxic, vegan coconut soy wax– safe for pets and people alike. We also proudly support localanimal rescue organisationsin the UAE, providing help for our furry friends who need a little extra love.
Our Goals for the Future
2025
By the end of 2025, we aim to:
- Expand our support for mental health initiatives, including donating at least AED 50,000 to Hakini.
- Transition at least 75% of our packaging to recycled and recyclable materials.
- Increase partnerships with women-led businesses by 30%.
- Launch two new eco-friendly product lines (think refillable candles and room sprays!).
- Support at least one animal rescue organisation with both donations and awareness campaigns.
Our Goals for the Future
2026
By the end of 2026, we plan to:
- Fully eliminate single-use plastic in our packaging and product refills.
- Reduce our carbon footprint by 20%, focusing on logistics and production efficiencies.
- Host a community event that raises awareness and funds for mental health and animal welfare causes.
- Expand our product offering into at least two new regional markets, spreading our mission even further.
- Gain official UAE Impact Seal certification, showcasing our commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
